What to Expect During Valeda Dry Macular Degeneration Treatment

You will undergo a comprehensive retinal evaluation by one of our specialists to assess the severity of your dry AMD and determine whether it is the best-suited treatment.

During treatment, you will sit comfortably at the Valeda device, where specialized light therapy will be delivered to the retina. The treatment is less than 10 minutes for both eyes and is painless and non-invasive.

The recommendation is 3 treatment sessions per week, with at least 24 hours between each session, for a period of up to 4 weeks.

Valeda Light Therapy Side Effects

The light therapy is generally well tolerated, and because the dry macular degeneration treatment is non-invasive, side effects are typically minimal. Some patients may temporarily notice:
