Cleve S. Mackenzie, MD, Emeritus graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1986 and was an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) at Beach Eye Medical Group in Huntington Beach. He completed his residency at the University of Rochester. During this time he spent two summer internships at the US Public Health Service Hospital in Carville, LA treating leprosy patients. He continued the tradition of excellent care when he took the helm of Beach Eye Medical Group from Daniel Sigband, MD, who was one of the first ophthalmologists in Huntington Beach. Dr. Mackenzie diagnosed and treated a majority of eye diseases for over two decades in Huntington Beach. To his testament, he has thousands of happy patients on whom he restored sight over the years with advanced, small incision cataract surgery. Dr. Mackenzie retired from the practice of Ophthalmology in 2013. You may see him enjoying the beaches of Surf City or playing tennis in his retired life.
